Its Christmas Eve! I can’t believe its already here I feel like every year it flys by. It definitely doesn’t feel like it here in Texas it is 73° here and was 81° yesterday. In the United States though I know everyone is having warmer weather than usual. Trying to be a little festive I went for this green knit dress which is perfect for this weather because its light weight.
Rodney and I have been talking about going to see the bats fly out of the Congress bridge for two years now. This is something everyone in Austin does normally in the Summer is when their peek season is. We happened to be walking by during sunset and there they were! I was surprised how many there were with our cooler temperatures (compared to our regular weather). They were flying out for at least 20 minutes, and we didn’t even stay until they were done.
Something I try and go to every year is the Trail of Lights. Zilker park decorates a trail that is 1.25 miles long with lights, a carousel and cutouts this year even a ferris wheel which is where the picture above was taken from. A Austin tradition that I love.
This is the Zilker Tree which you should stand underneath and spin around with someone while your hands are connected, until you feel woozy. 🙂
Rock’N Lights at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. This is was the coolest part, the lights flickered and had a sequence.
